The current Adobe® Departmental Contract License Program (CLP) with the Ithaca College Bookstore will soon expire. Its expiration date is June 30th, 2009.
Measures have already been taken to renew this CLP contract with Adobe® and are looking very favorable at this time. We anticipate this renewal to be effective July 1st, 2009 through July 1st, 2011. An announcement in the Ithaca College Intercom as well as on the Ithaca College Bookstore web site home page will be posted as soon as all details are completely known.
However, please don’t let this alarm you because this in NO WAY means your Adobe® CLP application software that you have purchased from the Bookstore since June of 2007 is going to expire. The ONLY part of the departmental program that will expire is if you opted for the Adobe® upgrade at the time of purchase. Adobe® upgrades for the applications correspond to the contract period that is in place at the time of purchase. Optional upgrades extensions for your current software will be available for purchase after our new Adobe® CLP contract is in place. These upgrades will relate to the renewal contract time period (July 1st, 2009 through July 1st, 2011). Note: Any personal purchases by Students, Staff or Faculty are not affected by the contract expiration since this software was not upgradable.
Some of you have received emails from Adobe® stating that your upgrades will expire on June 30th, 2009. This information is correct and if you haven’t installed any upgrades that you were notified about from Adobe®, then you should do so prior to June 30th, 2009. Please wait until the new contract information and new contract upgrade pricing is posted if you choose to renew your upgrade option. The new pricing will be released at the same time of the new contract to correspond with the new contract period.
