QUESTION: I was looking into doing Weight Watchers on line, but thought I would check into the college group. The cost on-line is $18.95 per month, and right now the registration fee is waived if you sign up for 3 months, so $56.85 for 3 months. Why is it $39.95 per month through the college? I would have thought it would be cheaper? What are we getting for the extra $21 per month?

SAMARRA'S ANSWER: That is a very good question. And the answer is the MEETINGS themselves.

Online is a great resource and in the beginning we're excited. But over time, a few weeks, in some cases, we're not quite as excited and we just go back to our old habits. Having the meetings, the weekly boost, and being around other members experiencing and sharing is the key to long term success. You also get materials each week. So along with the support, you are also getting new education in regards to the process.

I see over 100 members in a week across the area and I have many that returned to the meeting because they found that having the support of the meeting (not to mention the scale) made all the difference for them with their success.

We have an amazing group at the College. It is well worth the cost.
