Dr. Donathan Brown, assistant professor of communication studies and former H&S predoctoral diversity fellow, will be a presenter at Ghent University in Belgium in November.

Dr. Brown's essay, "The discursive state of American immigration rhetoric," discusses the political patterns pertaining to state-orchestrated immigration policies like housing ordinances, voter identification laws, and so on.

The conference at Ghent is co-sponsored by the Theodore Roosevelt Study Center (Middelburg, The Netherlands).
