The Organic Growers of Ithaca College is the student run organization that maintains the IC Community Garden.
This organization is for members of the IC community interested in growing organic produce. Since 2008 the community has maintained and improved the garden each year. Students experiment with many aspects of sustainable gardening including permaculture design, crop rotation, companion planting, four-season food production, and heirloom seed saving. Students organize workshops, farm stands, harvest dinners, and other special events for the community. Organic growing on campus is a wonderful way to interact with peers of varying interests, and to connect with the food that sustains us.
