Transfer Orientation Guide

Welcome to your transfer summer orientation guide. All transfer students must attend the one-day mandatory transfer orientation. However, there is an optional extended transfer orientation for students seeking a more traditional overnight orientation experience.

  • Sunday, June 15 - Extended Transfer Orientation (optional)
  • Monday, June 16 - Mandatory Transfer Orientation

What to expect when you arrive for extended and mandatory orientation.

How can I get there?

Where do I park or get dropped off?

Approved orientation parking is in “O” lot (see the campus map). You can also view handicap accessible parking and designated student lots on the campus map. You do not need a special tag or permit o park during orientation.

When do I check in?

Review the Transfer Orientation Check-In website for time, location, and a check-in to-do list.

What should I pack for extended transfer orientation? 

*All students should bring their HomerConnect and Netpass information to orientation.

FYI: Linens and towels will be provided in the residence halls.

  • Fan (Residence halls do not have air conditioning.)
  • Alarm clock

  • Shower shoes (flip flops)

  • Enthusiasm!
  • You are welcome to bring a computer or electronic device to orientation. However, it is NOT NECESSARY to have a computer at orientation to register for classes.
