Residence or Community Director
A Residence Director (RD) is a professional staff member who lives on campus and selects, trains and supervises our undergraduate Residential Life staff (Resident Assistants). There are currently 10 Residence Directors on campus. Each RD manages the operational functions of one to four residence halls and/or apartment areas which house from 300 to 700 students. The Residence Director frequently meets individually with students to discuss roommate concerns, talk about transitional issues or conduct judicial hearings.
A Community Director (CD) has the same responsibilities as a Residence Director. However, the CD oversees a larger apartment area with responsibility for supervising a community building and an Area Operations Assistant. Currently we have one Community Director located in the Circle Apartments.
We are currently searching for two Residence Director position vacancies for fall 2013, with one or two additional positions anticipated.
