Accept your Financial Aid Package

Once the student has received notification pertaining to the completion of their financial aid package, there are a few steps they must take to ensure their financial aid is in place for the year.
Please note:

No aid, federal or institutional, will be disbursed to the student account before these steps are completed. This means that even if a student is not receiving Title IV funds, they’re still required to fill out these forms for any merit aid to disburse.

Review and Accept your Package

On Homer Connect:

  1. Select "Financial Aid Information" from the menu on the left side of the page
  2. Select Aid Year "2024-2025 Aid Year" in the top right corner
  3. Select "Award Offer" from the menu along the top of the page
  4. Review your aid package
    • Review your loans
    • Grants and scholarships will be automatically accepted on your behalf
  5. Click “Submit”

On Homer Connect:

  1. Select "Financial Aid Information" from the menu on the left side of the page
  2. Find the E-Communications form in the “Unsatisfied Requirements” section on the “Home” page.
  3. Select “Accept” or “Do Not Accept”
    • If “Do Not Accept” is selected, the student must mail or deliver a hard copy statement to SFS confirming this decision. Only hard copy communications regarding financial aid and billing will be sent to the student from then on.

On Homer Connect:

  1. Select "Financial Aid" from the menu on the left side of the page.
  2. Find the Title IV form in the “Unsatisfied Requirements” section on the “Home” page.
  3. Select “Yes” or “No” for each section.

What is Title IV Authorization?

Title IV authorization allows us to apply Title IV funds to all charges on a student’s account, including additional fees assigned by other departments (including, but not limited to, fees assigned by the health center, library, or parking services). The form will allow the student to choose what charges they would like Title IV funds applied to, and how credit balances should be handled
