I have been a part of the Human Resource Information Team here at Ithaca College since 2006. My main priorities are helping employees with Parnassus, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, and New Hire Sessions. I set up and coordinate all New Hire Sessions that we hold as well as ensure our incoming new employees are set up in our Parnassus system and they have all the information and documentation they need for their first day. I understand how overwhelming new employees’ first days and weeks here at Ithaca College can be and that is why I welcome any questions or concerns that you may have.
Aside from the various every day activities that I do, the project that I am currently working on is setting up the Position Description Module in our People Admin employment system. One of the many benefits of this project will allow employees to electronically view their current job descriptions. However, before this can happen, various reporting, testing and research needs to take place and that is where my focus is at the present time.
On a personal note, I am also a mom of an incoming IC Fall '10 freshman. I am learning as I go how to have a child/student here at IC. One thing I do know is I am confident in the abilities of our Faculty and Staff here to help her to grow into the well educated, successful and responsible adult that I know she will be. So, for everyone who directly or indirectly deals with our students here at IC (which is everyone who works at IC), I personally want to say “Thank You” for everything you do for the students. The students not only appreciate what you do, but their parents do as well.
