National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Graduate Fellowships
The Foundation’s National Scholar-Athlete awards program consists of graduate fellowships that are awarded on an annual basis. These awards are given to a select group of college students in their senior year of eligibility who have demonstrated outstanding academic application and performance, exemplary school and community leadership and citizenship, and superior football performance throughout their amateur career.
The Foundation’s awards Committee will select 15 Scholar-Athletes from around the country for graduate fellowships, granting each $18,000 towards their postgraduate study. One outstanding candidate will be awarded the Vincent DePaul Draddy Fellowship, a $25,000 grant dedicated in memory of the Foundation’s former Chairman, and will be named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In addition, the Foundation also awards supplemental grants in specialized areas of postgraduate study such as law, medical/dental, and business. Recipients are guests of honor for a three-day stay at the Waldorf-Astoria for a media reception, and annual awards dinner.
