Broadcast Education Association National Scholarships
BEA is the professional development association for professors, industry professionals and students involved in teaching and research related to radio, television, and electronic media. BEA administers15 scholarships annually, to honor broadcasters and the broadcast industry.
Award
There are nine different types of scholarship awards. Students may compete for all, for which they are eligible, although they may only be chosen for one. The award amounts vary from $1,250 to $5,000 and each scholarship specifies an area of study in broadcasting.
Eligibility
Students must be:
- Enrolled full-time as juniors or seniors
- Able to show substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding electronic media professional
- Able to show compelling evidence that the applicant possesses high integrity and a well-articulated sense of personal and professional responsibility
