The information provided in this section is intended for the use of members of the Ithaca College
community who, as a function of their position within the College, plan and conduct research projects
using human subjects.
Included in this section are definitions, instructions, and procedures for use in preparing proposals
and research protocols that minimize the potential for risk to human subjects. These guidelines are
meant to facilitate research by faculty, staff, and students in compliance with federal and state
laws.
