Asset Management

The Asset Management Track prepares students to enter the world of capital market investing.

Students who complete the Asset Management track will find themselves with the knowledge needed for a career in the equity and fixed income space.  In addition to coursework, students will gain real portfolio investment experience through IC’s student managed funds.  Those who are interested in jobs such as capital market investments, risk management, and compliance are encouraged to discover the asset management finance track!

In addition to the Business Administration Core, students complete:

FINA 32100: Security Analysis & Portfolio Management
FINA 37500: Fixed Income Analysis & Portfolio Management
FINA 38000: Equity Portfolio Management
FINA 42000: Alternative Asset Management

Professional Designations

Students may pursue the following professional designations in conjunction with the Asset Management track:

  • CFA administered by the CFA Institute
  • CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member)
  • CAIA, administered by the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association
