Fortunate to be raised in a family of medical professionals, I desired a patient-centric role that prioritized education, advocacy, and team collaboration. This versatile profession also provides me the opportunity to learn and practice in multiple specialties. Through my personal and professional growth, I have learned that mental health is a TOP PRIORITY. The IC PA program promotes and incorporates self-care within its curriculum, holds both staff and students accountable for their own mental wellbeing, and provides a healthy space for vulnerability and self-reflection. As a PA student, I *anxiously* look forward to stepping outside of my comfort zone and learning more about myself. As a future PA, I look forward to increasing access to underserved communities.
