The following scholarships are available to students majoring in Therapeutic Recreation. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need (unless noted otherwise).

To be considered for any scholarship, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Charles A. Frueauff Foundation Scholarship

Awarded to outstanding undergraduate students in the Departments of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or in programs in community health education, therapeutic recreation, and health policy studies.

Arkell Hall Foundation Scholarship

Awarded to undergraduate students showing outstanding academic ability in the Departments of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or in programs in community health education, therapeutic recreation, and health policy studies.

Professor Karl K. and Marjorie Klein Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Recreation and Leisure Studies who show outstanding academic performance and expertise in the basic sciences.

Richard and Helen Lyon Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to students in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies who plan to pursue careers in teaching. Established by gifts of alumni and the family and friends of Coach Dick Lyon and his wife, Helen.

Tioga County Home Bureau Scholarship

Awarded to a deserving student who is a resident of New York State majoring in therapeutic recreation or occupational therapy. Preference is given to therapeutic recreation majors. Financial need is not required.

Who can apply: Any rising sophomore, junior or senior Occupational Therapty or Therapeutic Recreation student who is a resident of New York State

Awarded to a student in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, or Recreation and Leisure Studies who plans to pursue a career in coaching.

Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies. Established in memory of Merton J. Roberts by family and friends.
