Master of Music in Conducting (Wind, Orchestra, Choral, and Music Theater/Opera)

  • Applicants are required to submit an initial screening video recording of a performing group they have conducted recently, approximately 15-20 minutes in length. It is preferred that the video recording has both performance and rehearsal excerpts and the conducting applicant be facing the camera. The purpose of this recording is to aid in the evaluation of the candidate's conducting competency.
     
  • Pre-screening video recordings should be submitted via ArtsApp. There is a $10 fee associated with this submission. Questions should be directed to: Townsend Plant, Director of Music Admission and Assistant Dean for Preparatory and Summer Programs

  • Finalists will be invited for an in-person special audition which will include an interview and live conducting in the major area.
