Melinda McGill-Carlison '15, MBA '16

Mindy is currently the Pre-Award Team Lead in the Research Administration Service Center in the College of Engineering at Cornell University. In this role, She assists a diverse group of talented faculty with proposal development for a variety of federal and private funding agencies and assist the RASC manager with leadership, supervisory, and training of the pre-award team, primarily in biomedical engineering.

She also has experience in SBIR/STTR proposal development through her work with InteliSpark LLC, where she served as the Proposal Development Coordinator. In this role, she assisted with commercialization plan development, proposal development and organization, and other pre-award functions. The advancement of knowledge for the betterment of the world is a core value of Mindy's, and she finds immense passion in the work that she does.

Her other passions are in the fields of Work/Life, Human Resources, Professional Development, and Organizational Development. While earning her MBA, she collaborated with Dr. Christine Bataille on research to understand the identity transition to fatherhood for managerial/professional men. This work has been presented nationally and has been published in a peer-reviewed journal. Her strong desire to promote research at Ithaca College led to a pilot program for GRAs in the School of Business.
