What does being a First-Generation College Graduate mean to you?

It’s an honor to be a first-gen college student. I am very proud of my accomplishments these past 4 years and I’m so thankful for my parents constant support.

Who are the family members, friends or loved ones who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

I would like to thank my parents, aunts and uncles, teammates, friends and boyfriend for their support these past 4 years. Their inclusion on this journey has made it so much fun.

Ithaca Experiences

What is your proudest moment from your time at Ithaca College?

I was the regional champion on beam my sophomore year. The gymnastics team also placed first at that meet which secured us a spot for nationals. It was the best competition ever.

Who are the staff, faculty or mentors who have been most influential throughout your college journey? Are there any words of gratitude you would like to share with them?

I would like to thank Dr. Tamara Fitzwater, Dr. Laura Muscalu, and Dr. Jeff Holmes for their help as I navigated the steps it took to apply and get accepted to a Masters program. They are wonderful professors and mentors.

What do you plan or hope to do now that you have graduated?

I will be attending Brockport College for my masters in clinical psychology with a research emphasis. While I am there, I will also be assistant coaching for the gymnastics team and completing a Graduate Assistantship.
