Cory Young (Ph.D., Bowling Green State University, 2001) is an Associate Professor of Communication Management and Design, in the Department of Strategic Communication, specializing in crisis communication, public relations, and social media, and the Interim Assistant Director of the Honors Program (Fall semester 2018). On a personal note, here are some things you should know about me. I am:
- a first generation student, from Cleveland, OH. Come see me about FIRST LOOK, a new pre-orientation program for first generation students.
- passionate about all things related to food, especially culinary communication. If you are looking for a career in the hotel/hospitality industry, come see me about potential internships and career paths.
- deeply committed to being respectful and being a diversity advocate, especially gender/sexual identity expressions and racial/ethnic intersections. My office is a safe place to talk about personal struggles you may be experiencing. Come see me during my office hours, or whenever my door is open.
- a HUGE Harry Potter Fan! You might see me on the commons during Magical Weekend.
