Scott Hamula

Scott Hamula is a professor and the program director of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) major and minor at Ithaca College. He holds an MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago. His research interests include the areas of experiential marketing, brand activation, advertising sales, out-of-home advertising, and branding strategies in higher education and the radio and television industries.

Hamula is currently working on a chapter, “Teaching Advertising Campaigns,”  for the book, “Teaching Journalism and Media.” He has also given numerous presentations on advertising and promotion in both educational and professional settings.

Prior to his work in education, Hamula served in General Advertising Sales Manager and General Manager positions at radio stations located in Geneva and Canandaigua, New York, and has also held the position of senior advertising account manager for several area businesses through The Finger Lakes Radio Group headquartered in Geneva.
