Our services will look different this year, but our High Holiday programming will encourage high participation among students in safe, socially distant formats and are led by Hillel staff with student assistance.
Below is the tentative High Holiday service & program schedule.

High Holiday Services 5781/2020-21

Services for High Holidays will be held virtually this year. Both Reform and Conservative hybrid services and a non-traditional experiential virtual service will be offered concurrently.  Weather permitting we will project the Reform/ Conservative service on a large screen outside Muller Chapel for viewing on picnic blankets.  Links to the services will be made available in September.

Rosh HaShanah: 

  • Friday, September 18: Evening service 6:00 pm on Zoom (projected weather permitting)
  • Distant Shofar service across pond before Shabbat.
  • Friday, September 19: Rosh Hashanah Picnic Banquet, 7:00 pm, outside by Muller Chapel in our Sukkah City! 
  • Saturday, September 19: Morning Service 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Zoom (projected weather permitting)
  • Tashlich to Follow in Muller Chapel Pond
  • Shofar blowing across pond- schedule TBD
  • Sunday, September 20: Morning Service 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (projected weather permitting)
  • Kiddush to Follow outside in Sukkah City

Yom Kippur 

  • Tuesday, October 27th: Kol Nidre Evening service 7 pm on Zoom (projected weather permitting)
  • Wednesday, October 28th: Morning service 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (projected weather permitting)
  • Yizkor 12:45 pm
  • Wednesday, October 9th: Afternoon/Evening Service 6:00 pm (projected weather permitting)
  • Shofar blowing across pond- schedule TBD
  • Break Fast to follow at 7:00 pm in Sukkah City

Off-Campus Opportunities

Students are invited to virtually attend Congregation Tikkun v'Or/Ithaca Reform Temple or Temple Beth El Conservative Synagogue services in Ithaca. Please visit their websites for more information. Tickets are generally not required.
