Cantor Abbe Lyons is thrilled to be back at Hillel at IC. She is an IC alumna (voice performance, 1987), former IC Hillel board member, and was Interim Director in Spring 2010 just after her ordination through ALEPH Ordination Programs. She splits her time between Hillel at IC, Hillel at Binghamton, and teaching Jewish liturgical music, Hebrew prayer skills and music theory on the ALEPH faculty. Cantor Abbe is a poet, liturgist and composer and has also worked in the healing arts and nonprofit sectors. Her wife, Stacy Snyder, L.Ac., is an acupuncturist in private practice, and the two of them live in a multigenerational household on West Hill with Stacy's mother, 2 cats, and their son, who is mostly away at college studying animation. Fun fact: Abbe was certified as an auto mechanic in brakes and front end for 2 years in the early '80s.
