I played many different sports growing up in Essex, VT, exposing myself to the countless aspects of exercise and sport. I knew I wanted to pursue a field with endless opportunities and continuous diversification.  The exercise science program at Ithaca College was the perfect combination of academic and research opportunities, in addition to the ability to compete on the Women’s Swimming and Diving team. Four years of hard work in the pool and in the classroom has afforded me the opportunity to continue my education in pursuit of a doctorate in physical therapy.

My relationships with the faculty, staff, and students at Ithaca College are incomparable. They have provided me with countless opportunities to succeed and grow as a student and as a professional. The ability to work closely with faculty members over several semesters in course work, research projects, and as a teaching assistant has driven me to pursue a rigorous career in physical therapy. Their influence has also encouraged me to continue to seek to fulfill the need for new information and research in the exercise and movement fields.
