The HSHP Edge

In the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, better known on campus as HSHP, you will learn skills to help people lead healthy, satisfying, independent, and productive lives. Our health sciences-based curriculum, experience in hands-on labs, and practice in on-campus clinics will prepare you well for your professional role. Collaborating with peers and faculty across fields, you’ll graduate with a holistic view of human health and performance.

  • Approximately 85% of our students graduate within 6 years, compared to the national average of 66% for private colleges.

Professional Exam Pass Rates

  • Our average student pass rate on professional certification exams is 95%.

Research Grants

  • Awarded $1.21 million in National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation grants in the last 3 years.

Interprofessional Education (IPE)

  • Students work in interprofessional teams to learn about, with, and from each other and to practice teamwork and interprofessional communication.

Hands-On Practice

  • All students, 100%, complete fieldwork, internships, and/or research prior to graduation.
  • More than 400 active field placement sites at any given time where students gain hands-on experience in their discipline.
