I am from Woodsboro, a small town in Maryland. I chose physical therapy because of my own experience receiving care. My life and aspirations were greatly influenced by my physical therapist. She provided unprecedented care while encouraging, motivating, and supporting me. I hope to influence and impact others as she has done for me. I knew Ithaca College was where I was meant to be after learning about the physical therapy program and the experiences it offers to students. After visiting campus, I felt that I belonged here. I am continuing my education at Ithaca College in pursuit of a doctorate degree.

A memorable experience I’ve had is volunteering in the Occupational and Physical Therapy Clinic on campus. I worked with a stroke survivor and found that, although it was challenging, it was incredibly rewarding. My patient filled me with pride and passion to continue fostering relationships with others and providing quality care. I am thankful for the ability to continue my education at Ithaca College for two more years to build on connections with friends, professors, and patients.
