Coro Fellows Program

  • Purpose: To train ethical, diverse civic leaders nationwide. Critical Language Scholarship Program (CLS)

  • Purpose: To expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical need foreign languages. Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) institutes provide fully-funded group-based intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences for seven to ten weeks for U.S. citizen undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. students

Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship

  • Purpose: The Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships seek to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. To facilitate this goal the Fellowship grants awards at the Predoctoral, Dissertation and, Postdoctoral levels to students whom demonstrate academic excellence and are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

  • Purpose: Enables outstanding graduate students from outside the United Kingdom to study at the University of Cambridge. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a person's intellectual ability, leadership capacity and desire to use their knowledge to contribute to society throughout the world by providing service to their communities and applying their talents and knowledge to improve the lives of others.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

  • Purpose: This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship                      

  • Purpose: To support the graduate education of America's most promising technical talent, the Ph.D.-directed effort of the young men and women who can be expected to have the greatest impact on the application of the physical sciences to human problems during the next half-century.

Jacob K. Javits Fellowship

  • Purpose: The program provides financial assistance to students who have demonstrated (1) superior academic ability and achievement; (2) exceptional promise; and (3) financial need to undertake graduate study leading to a doctoral degree or a master's degree in which the master's degree is the terminal or highest degree in the selected field of study. The Department of Education awards fellowships in selected fields of study of the arts, humanities and social sciences.

Killam Fellowship

Knowles Science Teaching Foundation

  • Purpose: The KSTF awards individuals with a strong background in mathematics or science who demonstrate a commitment to teaching high school science and mathematics in the United States. The Teaching Fellowship is designed explicitly to meet the needs of teachers from the time they begin working on a teaching credential through the early years of their career.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship

  • Purpose: The Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship seeks to recruit talented students in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. The goal is to attract outstanding students from all ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State. The Program develops a source of trained men and women from academic disciplines representing the skill needs of the Department, who are dedicated to representing America's interests abroad.

The William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose

  • Purpose: The William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose recognizes graduating college seniors who are pursuing lives dedicated to and distinguished by honor, generosity, service, and respect. The fellowship is an unrestricted cash grant awarded to those graduating college seniors who have demonstrated passion, dedication, a high capacity for self-direction, and originality in pursuit of a goal that will strengthen civil society.
