The Chamber Orchestra is a string ensemble comprised of around 20 members. The majority of performers in this ensemble are music majors. The Chamber Orchestra performs four to six concerts per year both on and off campus. Repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary literature for string ensemble. The ensemble actively commissions and performs premieres of contemporary music. Recent and future collaborators of the ensemble include Paul Moravec (composer), Gala Flagello (composer), Quinn Mason (composer), Alyssa Wang (violinist and composer) the Palaver Strings (string ensemble), and David Adam Maltz (fortepiano). The Chamber Orchestra rehearses from 2:00-3:50 on Tuesday.
