Each fall some 600 students apply to Ithaca from other colleges and universities. No matter what your reason for transferring to Ithaca may be, you can count on getting the help you need every step of the way, from scheduling a visit to completing your application.
High school graduates who have earned nine or more college credits or have enrolled full-time at another college are considered transfer students. You can apply anytime, but for most programs, your final year must be completed at Ithaca. Some programs, such as physical therapy, have different requirements.

Office for New Student Programs
The Office for New Student Programs offers a special transfer transition program for transfer students that provides academic advising, testing, and registration information.
Ithaca College Transfer Society (ICTS)
ICTS provides a support network and social activities for all Ithaca College transfer students.
You can normally get transfer credit for college-level courses taken at a regionally accredited college or university, provided a grade of C- or better was earned. Each course is individually evaluated, and Ithaca reserves the right to disallow unacceptable courses.
