Nicholas Kelliher is a junior vocal performance major from Long Island, New York. This season, Nicholas has sung the roles of Fidel Castro in World Leaders and Ada in The Enchantress, both of which were selections from the various new operas premiered by the Ithaca College Opera Workshop. Nicholas will be performing the role of Athamas in the Ithaca College mainstage production of Handel’s Semele. Nicholas also sings with the Ithaca College Choir and Madrigal Singers. He is also the Fraternal Education Officer of the Delta Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

This past summer, Nicholas studied at the International Performing Arts Institute, where he sang the title roles in scenes from Giulio Cesare and Ariodante, both by Handel. From these lucrative experiences, Nicholas learned that Baroque and early music are what spark his passion.

Come next year, Nicholas hopes to audition for and pursue a Master’s degree in either Opera performance or Early Music performance. He is thankful to have a teacher like Dawn who supports him in all of his musical decisions.
