Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology! I am planning to work with preschool and elementary-aged children with learning differences, particularly those diagnosed/being assessed with ADHD and/or autism with speech and language disorders.
Research wise I am interested on how gender socialization influences the developmental trajectories of children with neurodivergent profiles—specifically, how children socialized as girls with ADHD and/or autism may experience and express their differences in contrast to those socialized as boys. I am also interested in exploring how individuals with learning differences contribute uniquely to social and creative spheres.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have professional experience in marketing, administration, and engaging with children through entertainment and educational roles. I am looking forward to expanding my understanding of neurodevelopment and communication through lab-based research, with the goal of informing inclusive, individualized practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
