The Opening Concert of the 26th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival

A spectacular concert bringing us to the musical roots of polyphonies with the human voice, featuring opera singers, choirs, improvisation, spoken word, and video projections to celebrate the opening night of FLEFF

The Polyphonies Concert on Monday March 20

The Polyphonies Concert is at 8:15 p.m. in Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James Whalen School of Music on the Ithaca College campus. Be sure to come early to insure you secure a seat for this annual multi-media and music performance. 

The concert features music from the 14th century to the present, by composer Diana Saez, Francesco Landini, Claudio Monteverdi, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Sally Lamb McCune, Jacques Offenbach, Anais Mitchel, Pauline Oliveros, and Joan Szymko.

This concert is a collaboration with Opera Ithaca.  Soloists and ensembles will perform selected pieces from various versions of the Orpheus and Eurydice operas. Opera Ithaca's Orpheus in the Underworld (Jacque Offenbach, 1858) runs April 28-29 in Ithaca New York.
