PCIM and the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival will host a roundtable discussion with editors and reporters from investigative independent news outlet The Intercept. This discussion will look back at the momentous year 2020 – the pandemic, protests and election – and the role of the media. Following this year’s theme, this session will explore today’s media landscape, the rise of disinformation and how adversarial outlets such as the The Intercept are infiltrating into a manufactured information ecosystem and continue to hold the powerful accountable.

The panel will include Rodrigo Brandão (’01), Senior Director, Communications and Strategy and others at The Intercept

Moderated by Raza Rumi, Director of the Park Center for Independent Media
