Mental health discussions have become more mainstream in athletics, but most fail to provide athletes with actionable insights that they can apply to their own lives going forward. The speakers assembled for this event have “walked the walk” and are now ready to share their strategies for excelling in sports and beyond. Each speaker presents a different approach to how they optimize their mental space. At the end of the event, attendees will leave with strategies to improve in academics, athletics, and life. Visual Elements: The event will commence with a quick series of clips of Ithaca College student athletes discussing prevalent topics in their lives. The speakers will then share their experiences with how these topics surrounding mental health and performance impacted them in college and how they dealt with them. Following the conclusion of the event, there will be thirty minutes allocated to a Q&A session with the speakers and moderator.
