IC Account (user name and password)

What it is: Your Ithaca College log in credentials.

Why you need it: You will need these credentials to log in to most IC systems including: IC Email, HomerConnect, Engage, DegreeWorks, Microsoft 365, library resources, and more.

How you get to or access it: The IT office emailed all new students in May regarding setting up your IC credentials; it is a three step process that gets initiated by following the instructions in the emails. 

Where to go for help: If you are having issues setting up your IC account, contact IT at 607-274-1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

Outlook

What it is: Ithaca College’s email client/system.

Why you need it: All official e-mail communications from the College will only be sent to your IC e-mail so it is important that you check this account regularly.

How you access it: You can access your email on the web: apps.ithaca.edu > select Outlook on the Web icon OR by installing Microsoft 365 on your personal computer. Use your IC account credentials to log in. 

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with your Outlook email account after activation, you should contact IT at 607-274-1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

HomerConnect

What it is: A web-based software application that provides students with access to course registration, housing selection, class schedules, and other areas essential to their successful attendance at Ithaca College.

Why you need it: To select housing, meal plans, course registration (after your first semester at IC), view class schedules, and other areas to foster success at Ithaca College.

How you access it: To sign in, you will need your IC log in.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with HomerConnect, you should contact IT at 607-274-1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

Engage

What it is: A website that allows students to find and join organizations, keep track of events happening on campus or the local area, and track your involvement with campus activities, memberships to clubs, or offices on campus. Engage is also a platform where specific applications are posted and housed for different opportunities on campus such as certain job applications, executive board openings, and leadership retreats.

Why you need it: To find involvement opportunities on campus and occasionally submit applications for different involvement and student employment opportunities.

How you access it: apps.ithaca.edu > select Engage icon, then log in with your IC credentials.
