myIthaca

What it is: A membership page that allows both perspective and recently admitted graduate and undergraduate students find personalized information on academic opportunities, register for admission events and orientation, track applications, and learn about the student experience at IC.

Why you need it: To register for new-student events and programs.

How you access it: my.ithaca.edu

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with your myIthaca portal, you should contact the Office of Admissions at 800.429.4274.

Netpass

What it is: Your Ithaca College user name.

Why you need it: You will need your netpass to log in to most IC systems including: IC Email, Sakai, HomerConnect, Engage, DegreeWorks, myHome, library resources, and more.

How you get to or access it: The Registrar's office will email instructions to newly accepted students via email beginning the last week in March.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues activating your Netpass ID, you should contact the Registrar’s Office at 607.274.3127. If you are having issues with your Netpass ID after activation, you should contact IT at 607.274.1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

Outlook

What it is: Ithaca College’s email client/system.

Why you need it: All official e-mail communications from the college will only be sent to your IC e-mail so it is important that you check this account regularly.

How you access it: You can access your email on the web one of two ways: apps.ithaca.edu > select Outlook on the Web icon ORmyhome.ithaca.edu > select Go To Outlook Web. Use your Netpass username + @ithaca.edu and password to login.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with your Outlook email account after activation, you should contact IT at 607.274.1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

HomerConnect

What it is: A web-based software application that provides students with access to course registration, housing selection, class schedules, and other areas essential to their successful attendance at Ithaca College.

Why you need it: To select housing, meal plans, course registration, view class schedules, and other areas to foster success at Ithaca College

How you access it: To sign in, you will need your Netpass ID and password.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with HomerConnect, you should contact IT at 607.274.1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

Sakai

What it is: An online, learning management system for courses.

Why you need it: Many instructors at IC use this platform for course facilitation.

How you access it: You can access Sakai one of two ways: apps.ithaca.edu > select Sakai icon ORmyhome.ithaca.edu > select Sakai under “Services.” Use your Netpass username and password to login.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with a specific course, you should contact the professor of that course. If you are having issues accessing Sakai, you should contact IT at 607.274.1000 (select option #4 when prompted).

Zoom: A high quality, easy to use, cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing and mobile collaboration. This platform can be accessed through Sakai or at http://ithaca.zoom.us

Engage

What it is: A website that allows students to find and join organizations, keep track of events happening on campus or the local area, and track your involvement with campus activities, memberships to clubs, or offices on campus. Engage is also a platform where specific applications are posted and housed for different opportunities on campus such as certain job applications, executive board openings, and leadership retreats.

Why you need it: To find involvement opportunities on campus and occasionally submit applications for different involvement and student employment opportunities.

How you access it: apps.ithaca.edu > select Engage icon.

Where to go for help: If you are having an issue with Engage, you should contact the Office of Student Engagement at ose@ithaca.eduor 607.274.3222

25Live

What it is: System used to request reservable spaces on Ithaca College’s campus. Instructions on creating events in 25Live can be found here.

Why you need it: To reserve meeting or event spaces on campus for student groups, activities, events, etc.

How you access it: apps.ithaca.edu > select 25Live icon.

Where to go for help: If you are having issues with reserving a space in 25Live, you should contact CES at 607.274.3313.
