Move-In Updates

Fall 2021 Move-In Sign Up

All on campus students must schedule a move-in date/time in advance of returning to campus. The sign-up process will be open from Monday, July 12th-Friday, July 31st.

Fall 2021 Move-In

We are excited to welcome all students back to campus for the fall. Move in will take place the week prior to the start of classes, following the health and safety guidelines mandated by the State of New York.

To support a resumption of the IC experience for our students with a significantly reduced risk of infection for all, the college plans to require all students who are attending this fall to be vaccinated. Medical and religious exemptions will be accommodated, but it is expected that the vast majority of individuals on campus will be vaccinated.  All IC students, staff, and faculty residing or working on the Ithaca campus may be required to participate in arrival and regular surveillance testing as part of the Community Agreement.

All students who reside on campus may be tested as part of the move-in process. As a result, move-in will be limited to the specific days and times.

Testing and Move-in will take place in the Athletics and Events Center ONLY during the listed days between 9am-5pm.

  • Tuesday, August 10, set aside for Essential Student Employees (OLs, Dining, IT, Mail Services, SASP, SHELs)
  • Sunday, August 15, Early Arrivals (athletes, student employees)
  • Monday, August 16 and Tuesday, August 17, Move in for First Year students
  • Thursday, August 19, Move in for Transfer students
  • Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20, Move in for Upper Years students

You may select your move-in time slot on the Housing Portal via HomerConnect starting the week of July 12.  All on campus students will receive an email on July 7 verifying your fall housing assignment and outlining detailed information about how and when to sign up for your move-in and testing appointment.  First-year students and transfer students will be given priority to select move in appointments prior to the start of Orientation.
