Circles Community Center

The Circles Community Center is a staffed, multi-purpose facility which provides a variety of amenities and services to Circle Apartment residents. Inside are mail lockers and fitness, self-service laundry and recreation rooms, and a Toshiba printer for use by Circle residents. Outside is a visitor parking area and a patio.

Additionally, the Community Center meeting rooms are used by a variety of campus departments and campus organizations. Its modular meeting rooms can accommodate small groups or up to 125 people for larger functions. When you are locked out during office hours, please go to the Circles office and we will provide you with a lockout key. When the office is closed, call the Apartment Assistant (AA) on duty. Each semester you receive 1 free lockout and you will be billed $10.00 for each additional lockout. The lockout key must be returned within 24 hours during office hours or a lock change is ordered and your student account will be billed.

If you live in a card reader access apartment, a staff member will provide you with lockout access. If you lost your ID, during normal business hours you should go to the ID office for a replacement ID or after hours, you should go to the Office of Public Safety to obtain temporary access until the ID office is open.

If you misplace your College-provided key/s, you may temporarily check out a lockout key at the Circles office. If it is determined that you lost your key/s, you will work with Circles staff to order a lock change and replacement keys, and your student account will be billed.

If you misplace your Ithaca College ID and have card reader access, when the Circles office is open we can let you into the apartment which counts as a lockout. Otherwise, during normal business hours you should go to the ID office for a replacement ID or after hours you should go to the Office of Public Safety to obtain temporary access until the ID office is open.

The laundry room is open 24/7 for Circle Apartment residents. Your ID is programmed to give you access to the Circles Community Center and laundry room.

Only current Circles residents are permitted to do their laundry in the Circles laundry room.  You do not need coins to operate the laundry machines. The cost to operate laundry machines is included in the room fee that is paid by each student who resides in campus housing. If you are not a Circles resident, you are not permitted to use the laundry room.

All washers are high efficiency (HE); please use HE detergent. Be careful to not overload machines and use appropriate settings to wash and dry your laundry. You are expected to retrieve your clothes promptly so that machines are available to others. Laundry left unattended in the laundry room is considered abandoned property and will be donated or discarded.

Monitor the status of your laundry and availability of washers and dryers in the Circles, or report a problem with a machine with Laundryview.

Please help keep our laundry room clean! When you complete your laundry, please leave the laundry room in a clean condition for the next person.

Vacuum cleaners are available to Circles residents in the Circles office. Please stop by the Circles office with your ID in order to sign out a vacuum. Vacuums should be handled carefully and returned within 24 hours, during office hours. If a vacuum needs repair, please inform the staff member working the desk.

When snow is on the ground, you can borrow a snow shovel at the Circles office.
