The Staff Development and Engagement Committee is responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities which build unity and familiarity among the members of the Student Affairs and Campus Life division and meet the common professional development needs of the membership. Both educational as well as social programs are sponsored. Because the focus of the committee is on the divisional level, each department is responsible for addressing the particular professional development needs of its own staff.
The committee will also work to provide recognition to staff who are participating in state or national professional development activities through sharing their accomplishments with the campus, nominating Ithaca College divisional staff or programs for awards and recognition and working in other ways to shine a light on the accomplishments of staff at all levels in Student Affairs and Campus Life.
The staff development and recognition committee will administer the professional development grant program for the division.

Membership in this committee is open to all members of the Student Affairs and Campus Life division.
Meetings will be scheduled based on availability of committee members.
