Jessica Small is an active teacher and performer whose musical ventures have reinforced her passion for collaboration and new music. As a performer, Small has given various solo and quartet performances at NASA Conferences and the International Conference for Saxophone Pedagogy and Performance. Her interest in chamber music encouraged the founding of the DubSax Quartet, for which she has organized educational outreach tours throughout Eastern North Carolina, San Antonio, and Austin, Texas.

Small is currently combing her interests in music and entrepreneurship through the pursuit of her DMA in Performance with a cognate in Business at the University of Florida. She holds degrees in Saxophone Performance and Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and Ithaca College. Her primary teachers include Frank Bongiorno, Steven Mauk, and Jonathan Helton.
