Leah Gardner is originally from Gilford, New Hampshire, and has somewhat-recently graduated from Ithaca College in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. She has spent her first year out of college teaching General Music for grades 6-8 and working with the High School Steel Drum Band in the Binghamton City School District. During her time at IC, Leah had the opportunity to study a broad range of percussion instruments with professors Gordon Stout, Mike Truesdell, and Conrad Alexander. She also learned how to make marimba mallets and, for a while before the Pandemic, was selling them alongside Gordon Stout. She is very excited to join the other Faculty for the Intermediate Division of IC's Summer Music Academy!
