Kristin Zaryski is Director of Choral/Vocal Music at Ithaca High School (NY) where she teaches two curricular ensembles, group voice lessons, two extra-curricular SA/TB choirs and AP Music Theory.

In the classroom, she finds joy helping students find confidence by building music literacy skills, encouraging creativity, and fostering a community where students of all skills and interests feel that they can contribute. Last year, she shared her session “Mixed Bag: Engaging All Learners in Every Rehearsal” at the New York State School Music Association Conference and served as visiting lecturer at Cornell University where she conducted the Cornell Chorale. Outside the classroom, she sings with the professional choir Mirabai and serves as the accompanist for regional ensembles and honor choirs.

Ms. Zaryski holds a MM in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University and a BM (music education/piano) from Ithaca College
