Jill Kirtland

Jill (Hughes) Kirtland ‘03, is the Learning Innovation & Technology senior manager for PwC, leading the Extended Reality/Metaverse strategy for their U.S. learning and development team.
 

During her 20 year career, she has worked for many well-known companies such as Advance Auto Parts, Johnson & Johnson, Wolters Kluwer, SAP and General Electric. Her career has focused on researching and implementing innovative learning delivery methods (simulations, serious games, podcasting, interactive video, VR, etc.) and creating digital transformation & upskilling strategies to prepare our workforce for the future. She has worn many hats as a project manager for highly visible and complex L&D and technology projects, and as an award winning e-learning instructional designer.

After graduating from Ithaca College, she went on to complete her M.S. in instructional design & development from Lehigh University and multiple certificates in project management and agile product management.  Her experience at Ithaca College helped her define the path she wanted to take in her career, providing a hands-on introduction to various aspects of organizational communications, learning design, and digital marketing.
