Kirk Goodman is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in corporate sales, operations, marketing, advertising, promotions, ticketing, finances, and overall facility and business management. Following two decades in professional sports, Goodman is now the manager of special events at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston. He is charged with booking and executing corporate events, receptions, and non-resident entertainment bookings at one of the premier performing arts venues in the country.
In his spare time, Goodman volunteers at numerous cultural arts facilities in Houston and also works as a high school football, softball, lacrosse and basketball official, with over 20 years' experience in the field.
Following 16 years in minor league baseball, he made the transition to Major League Soccer and was honored to be a part of the opening of the Houston Dynamo's BBVA Compass Stadium in downtown Houston in May 2012.
At Ithaca College, he worked in our sports information department and his first foray into sports communications was as an intern for the Boise Hawks; he also participated in our semester program in Los Angeles, where he interned for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
