Transfer Opportunities

The occupational therapy program accepts current Ithaca College students as internal transfers into the combined BS/MS or BS/OTD program. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum grade of C for required courses. Admission is subject to space availability in the desired cohort. Current Ithaca College students may transfer into the occupational therapy program in any semester prior to the fall of the 3rd year in the program. Please note that changing majors may require additional coursework and semester(s) on campus to meet program requirements.

To be considered, internal candidates need to meet with a faculty member in the occupational therapy department. Please email Dr. Jennifer Iglthaler, Curricular Coordinator jiglthaler@ithaca.edu  to learn more about the process.

Students should review the curriculum requirements of the BS degree with a faculty member in the occupational therapy department. This will help determine which of their current courses will fulfill requirements and identify outstanding requirements.

Occupational Science Major — B.S. < Ithaca College

Please note that some courses may have prerequisites or other requirements (e.g. math placement score).  

Students currently enrolled at another institution should contact the occupational therapy department's Curricular Coordinator, Dr. Iglthaler at jiglthaler@ithaca.edu to determine a curricular path. A 3.0 cumulative GPA and a grade of C or better in required coursework is required for admission.
