Madison Hoerbelt, mezzo soprano, is from Batavia, New York and is currently a student in the voice performance program where she studies voice with dawn pierce at Ithaca College. Madison is a founding member of Horizon A Cappella and a member of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, for which she is a section leader. In addition, she has also sung in the Women’s Chorale, Madrigal Singers, and Concert Choir at Ithaca College. Additionally, Madison plays clarinet and guitar and studied dance for 15 years with Denise Chatt of Batavia. Madison recently made her opera debut with Opera Ithaca in collaboration with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra in La Bohème (Ensemble, 2019) and as Second Witch in Ithaca College’s production of Dido and Aeneas (2020). Madison has been seen in theatre productions with Batavia High School, Batavia Players, and Encore Theatre Arts, including leading roles in Into the Woods (The Witch, 2018 and Little Red Riding Hood, 2015), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad, 2017), and The Little Mermaid (Ursula, 2016).
