The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is pleased to be partnering with Inner Harbor this academic year to provide ongoing grief support and education for staff, faculty, and students. Mandi Zucker, LSW, CT, the Founder and President of Inner harbor, will be providing a host of services outlined below. Please utilize these services as needed. For more information contact Hierald Osorto, at hosorto@ithaca.edu

  1. Monthly, virtual “Office Hours” for staff to check in to process and discuss issues related to grief in the workplace and classrooms. Stop in to ask a question, get support or just listen to issues coming up for other staff members. Online office hours will be on the second Monday of the month at 9 AM EST. Our first drop-in is on Monday, September 13th. Link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83134787010.
  2. A 1.5 hour in person training for staff entitled, “How to Support Grieving Students on Campus” scheduled on September 24th at 11 AM in the Muller Chapel. Another workshop in the Spring, date TBD.
  3. A digital, printable “Coping with Grief” guide will be completed during the fall semester that will be available to all staff and students.
  4. In the spring, we will be coordinating a free, overnight weekend retreat for up to 12 students who have experienced a significant death loss. Please help us identify students who could benefit from this retreat. More information about this retreat will be forthcoming.
