  4. If there is something the library does not own, it can be ordered for free through Interlibrary Loan aka ILL. Visit the Library’s YouTube site and watch the video on, New ILL Features.”
  5. The library is organized to support different student needs with group study (main floor) and quiet study zones on the fourth and fifth floor. The fifth floor is the quietest. You’ll need to take the elevator by the Circulation Desk or the side stairwells to access it; the main stairwell only reaches to the fourth floor!
  6. The Library Cafe serves Ithaca Coffee Company coffee, snacks and comfortable seating. It will open as soon as they hire staff; if you need work, check the Student Employment website. Once staffed their hours are planned as:  Monday-Thursday 8 am -8 pm; Friday 8am – 2 pm, Closed Saturday; Sunday 2 pm – 8 pm.

Food must be eaten in the cafe area or taken out of the building as there is currently no eating allowed in the rest of the Library's public spaces.

  7. The Circulation Desk has an array of items to borrow: a collection of wireless laptop PCs which circulate within the library for on-campus use and for overnight loan, external DVD/Blu-ray Drives, Projectors, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, calculators and even desk supplies (scissors, glues, white board markers).
  8. The library has an amazing collection of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs! After looking up a film or CD, write down the number.  If you need help, chat with a librarian. Once you have that, go up one flight to the Multimedia Desk to check it out.
  9. There is networked color and black & white printing available via walk-up release stations.
  10. The library has a Digital Media Lab on the 3rd floor that provides space to create and edit multimedia projects that incorporate graphic design, audio, and video elements.  Borrow a key from the Circ Desk to use the Flash Studio podcasting room.
