Campus Community Members:
Pride in Food Service Appreciation Week is celebrated each year during the month of February. This year the dates are February 7th through February 11th. Founded by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) back in 1991, this program celebrates the accomplishments and hard work of those in the foodservice industry. These individuals keep food and food safety forefront and maintain both state and federal regulations.
At Ithaca College, the entire Dining Services’ team deserves recognition not only for their outstanding hard work in providing healthy, safe, and wholesome food but also by maintaining great customer services with friendly hellos and how’s your day going? The past two years have thrown some curveballs at us all, but the Dining Services’ team has shown their ability to adapt quickly and effectively to those changes during a pandemic environment. Our team of dedicated employees have shown collaborative efforts to be in the moment and make the new processes work for all.
I invite you to join me in sincerely thanking the Dining Services’ team for their hard work, commitment to all who use our services, whether in a dining hall or a retail location. This amazing team will continue to be here for our campus community. I am so proud of the entire Dining Team. They each play a crucial role in the safety of servicing our students, faculty, and staff.
The Dining Services Team will be collecting nonperishable items during the week, please stop by and show your support by dropping off an item or two! Items collected will be given to Ithaca College’s Food Pantry. Find collecting bins in Terrace Dining Hall and Campus Center Dining Hall.
