The members of the search committee and provost are very pleased to announce that Michelle Millet has accepted the appointment as College Librarian at Ithaca College.
Since 2012, Ms. Millet has served in the role of director of the Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center at John Carrol University in Ohio, where she has a proven track record of visionary and collaborative style of leadership. Among her many achievements at JCU are a 200% increase in usage of the library building since 2012, increased use of all library materials including print, multi-media, and electronic. She also led Board approval of a massive $25 million library renovation plan from the fundraising through design stages, and the construction will begin December 2022.
Previously, Ms. Millet has held library positions at The University of Texas at San Antonio, and Trinity University in Texas. Michelle will be joined by her husband, Darrell Long, children Rae and Joseph, two dogs and two cats!
