Staff Changes to Center for IDEAS

Omega Hollies to Depart Center for IDEAS and Ithaca College

Omega Hollies, the Associate Director of the Center for IDEAS, will be departing at the end of October for an amazing opportunity to work remotely for Gather, Inc. Gather, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is committed to helping more people realize the Jewish life they seek.

Starting out at as Assistant Director for IDEAS in 2019, Omega was instrumental in the beginning stages of IDEAS to create and implement the vision and mission of the office. Over her tenure Omega oversaw the Ithaca Achievement Program, chaired the MLK Campus Wide Celebration, lead multiple orientation initiatives, and coordinated the Student of Color Leadership Awards celebration. Omega worked collaboratively across campus on projects such as the anti-racist slow read, the formation of the students of color coalition, the IC Day of Learning: Grappling with Antisemitism, and a number of educational workshops centering justice work.

Please join IDEAS in thanking Omega for service at IC and bidding her farewell. All are welcome to stop by  before her last day on October 31 at the IDEAS Suite (339 Egbert Hall) to leave a note of gratitude and well wishes at the front desk.
