Daniel Gwirtzman, Assistant Professor of Dance, School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, receives $10,000 New York State Council on the Arts Grant.

Daniel Gwirtzman is a New York State Council of the Arts Grantee, having received a FY2023 Support for Artists grant award sponsored by The Cherry Arts!

Thanks to Governor Kathy Hochul, and Katherine Nicholls, Chair, and Mara Manus, Executive Director, of the New York State Council on the Arts, Daniel Gwirtzman has received a $10,000 choreographic commission grant. The funds will help produce e-Motion: A Journey Into the Merging of Neuroscience and Performance at The Cherry Arts, Ithaca, NY, May 28-June 4, 2023. This dance-theater work is a collaboration between playwright and IC faculty member Saviana Stanescu, who will create the text, and Gwirtzman’s choreography.
