Farewell, Mame Ndiaye

New Student and Transition Programs (NSTP) wishes Assistant Director, Mame Ndiaye, all the best as she leaves IC for a new role at Cornell University's Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy to serve as the Associate Director of Inclusive Enrollment.

Mame began in NSTP in June 2022 and was instrumental in leading the planning and implementation of Ithaca College's Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Orientation programs. She provided excellent supervision, mentorship, and advocacy for students through these events and daily NSTP operations. Mame was also recently recognized at the NODA Region IX Conference held at Cornell University, presenting two DEIB workshops: Culture Matters: Understanding Different Types of Student Experiences for Orientation Planning” and “Diversity Recruiting: Methods to Attract a Wider Range of Orientation Staff Candidates.” She was awarded the Regional Showcase Award for "Diversity Recruiting" based on participant evaluations and invited to deliver this workshop at NODA's national conference in the fall.

Mame's last day at IC will be Wednesday, May 10. Please join us in congratulating Mame and wishing her well on Tuesday, May 9 from 12-1 p.m. in the Student Activities Center (Egbert 311). Some snacks will be provided.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact June Sheridan at nstp@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1908. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
